The Scratchy Throat Blues
Well, it's been a couple weeks since my tonsillectomy/ adenoidectomy, I've had a good Christmas, and I've been eating like I used to, but I still haven't recovered fully. Today, my throat's been rather scratchy. I do have an advantage though; everyone understands every word I say, rather than everyone interpreting me wrong. Now I do not sound like grumble-mumble-mumble.

My Last Night of Snoring
Well, tomorrow I am going to have a surgery. It was originally supposed to be a surgery where I was getting a cyst (a bump) on my ear removed. I am still getting it removed, but I am now getting my tonsils and possibly adenoids removed- all in the same surgery! On the bright side, that peppermint flavored ice cream is in season.
You are probably wondering how I wound up in a 3-in-1 surgery. Well, after the doctor took a look at my cyst, he was noticing that my voice was more or less raspy. Upon that he took a look at my tonsils and a surprised expression sprang up on his face. That surprise was that my tonsils took up enough space so that less than a third of my rear throat was blocked by my tonsils. They have always been big like that. After that he asked if I took longer to eat than everyone else, which I do. I also take rather large bites during meals, especially if I like the food.
Of course, having to recover from the surgery presents a problem. My surgery is on the 14th and my parents are planning to take me to the Polar Express on the 17th. Furthermore, I have a violin/viola recital on the 19th. I think I will be able to manage. A sore throat (noncontagious) shouldn't affect riding on a train or my violin/viola playing.

Thanksgiving Post
This Thanksgiving, I went to my grandma's house for Thanksgiving luncheon (in between dinner and lunch). Many of my family members were there and I stuffed myself like a turkey (ironic, huh?). For dessert I ate a Blueberry cheese-pie (basically a blueberry cheesecake with a pie crust). Every year we have a tetherball tournament, which I have never won. I still didn't win this time, although belive or not, my little brother Atticus got second place.

Same Old Same Old
You know how I posted about that whole battery thing? Well the other day I discovered that there is no such thing as a 6V battery- it was all a gag! I should have known better than to believe information from a film company by the name of "Gagfilms"!

Severe Punishment
Today, I made fun of Atticus. A week or so earlier, my mom threatened that if I made fun of Atticus, I would have to wear Atticus'
wrestling singlet. Well, today I crossed the line. There were some other photos, but if I had put them on, it would be disastrous. If you look closely at these pictures of me wearing spandex, you can see I need a tan and perhaps need to jog off four or five pounds. Well today, I jogged two miles. The first mile, I went eleven minutes, the second I went twelve.

Happy birthday to Me! In three more days...
It's 2 days until my birthday, and I've received birthday money from my Grandma & Grandpa (Lee), my Aunt Katie, and the Goodman's (Binky, Sacha, Winter, and Valor). I got a $25 Wal-Mart gift card (and a $1 in cash) from my (Lee) Grandparents, $20 from Aunt Katie, and a Hobby Lobby $15 gift card from the Goodman's. Thank-You all so much!!! My mom traded my Wal-Mart gift card for $25 in cash. I spent the $25 on a $15 iTunes gift card. I definitely got the sweet end off that deal! I got the other money (and the $15 gift card) after the shopping. At the Valentine's day party I blogged about quite some time ago (you know, the one with the PVC pipes) Jean Luc made everyone bracelets made of those stick things. I divided mine into three: one for Halloween, one for Independence Day, and one for Easter. But now I made a birthday bracelet, one blue, one sky blue, one white.

The History of Queen Creek
The reason I'm doing this is for my Citizenship in the Community merit badge...enjoy.
History: Back in 1927, The Rittenhouse farm went bankrupt. Rittenhouse was sort of Queen Creek's original name. Leo Ellsworth bought the farm; he later asked his brother, Larence, to join him in partnership. Donald Ellsworth joined them later, when they had about 400 employees at the Ellsworth farm. The Ellsworths were Mormons--in fact, they were the first Mormons to settle where we now know as Queen Creek. Queen Creek got its name from a mine called Silver Queen. There was a creek (which is now a wash) called Picket Creek. Then it got renamed "Queen Creek". Then our town got named that. During WWII, there was an air force base. In the 1980's, Queen Creek was officially a town.
Cultures and Ethnic Groups: There are (approximately) 75% white people, 5.5% black people, 19.5% other races, and 20% Hispanic (or Latino) in any race.
Best Features: Queen Creek's best features are the Queen Creek library and the Equestrian Park.
Popular Places for Gathering: There are many parks. There are also the Rec center and Barney's Sport's Complex. The "Barney" I'm talking about is not your MHTD (Most Hated Talking Dinosaur), it is the last name of a family. There are also many churches for religious worship for people to gather.
Challenges: There are 2 challenges with Queen Creek: one of them is hyper-growth, the second challenge is to balance residential, industrial, and agricultural needs so that the tax burden between all three is balanced.

How battery builders control your money!
First of all, did you know that 6v batteries have 32 AA bateries in them? You have to wrench off the top, and takes plenty of elbow grease.
Sorry this post stinks.

A lot of stuff has happened lately, but I haven't took any pictures of them
My Aunt Erin and my Uncle Edison have moved into my Grandma's house, so they lent us some of their furniture because there isn't enough room there.
The furniture they sent us was:
- Their love sack
- 2 televisions
- And my Grandparents gave us their TV holder (TV not included).
I've also started on my second sleeve for my sweater.

It's amazing how much lint is in your belly button!
I must confess, the picture you see doesn't show the sweater* I'm making. That's right, it isn't finished. I took a picture of my progress, but My parent's camera's SD card wouldn't load anything onto the computer. Lately I've been putting my yarn skein in my shirt so I can walk and crochet at the same time. And that's where I came up with today's title. And if you're wondering why I haven't corrected th PVC pipe post's title it's because my mom thought it would make it a bit funnier (when she saw my flaw).

PBC weaponry
On this previous Friday, February 13, Some of my relatives and I went to a park in Scottsdale. My cousins, Peter and Jean Luc, brought 2 swords, 2 staffs, & 2 battle axes- made of PBC pipes and duct tape! Yesterday, My mom and dad brought PBC pipes home (along with duct tape and necessary attachments, like 4-way intersects and end stubs) and made 3 staffs and 3 swords. We didn't make battle axes because those are more breakable. The rest can be said in the video above. Hope you enjoy it!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! Jogging!!
I was watching too much tv the past three nights. I will see if I won't do that again. Anyway, I have been jogging. The first day I did 2 miles in 34 minutes. The next day I shaved off 5 1/2 minutes to break my record at a speedy 28.5 minutes!

When 6-year-olds get unobservant and BBQ ribs grow enormously
Today I went to downtown Pheonix by Metro Train. My bros, my dad, the Goodmans, and Binky's brother (along with 2 of 3 of his sons and his daughter) came with me. We all went to The House of Congress (which is now a museum). After that we went to a resturant called Honey Bears'. Their motto is "You don't need no teeth to chew our meat!" and seriously, I'm not making this up. Their BBQ ribs were huge and I only ordered the half batch. Atticus was going to film us there, but he forgot to press the recording button. The big red button in the middle of the digital camera!

Crochet away!
Today, I finished the tissue box cover for Binki. He is thrilled. If you wonder what kind of yarn I use, It has been multicolored worsted weight skeins of yarn. The yarn to on the left is the same kind of yarn I have been using for a while. I want to try making a sweater with about 8 sleeves. When my real left arm will move the other lefts will move the same. The same will happen to the right arms. Yep sounds wierd. So what?!?!?!

What would animals say if they could talk?
What do you think that animals talk about? They probably say stuff like feed me or love me or "Scratch my ears, will ya?" Maybe they have organized behind our backs so that they have long distance communication. The local leaders would probably say: "Good work hiding your IQs, fellow animals! We still haven't found a way to tip over heavy garbage cans! Our undercover dog has not gained access to indoors to find the nearest television station and our undercover cat has not kidnapped anyone for a ransome yet! Keep up the good work!"

I love babies!
The Goodmans came to my house yesterday, and I just love my new cousin, Valor! She has an unbelievably subtle temper and barely ever cries. She just looks around when she's awake. I still love Valor's big sister, Winter, but babies are just so adorable! I have finished all of the Goodmans' gifts except for my Uncle Binky's gift- which is the Kleenex box cover.

My feisty pony, or, real men have horses!
To your right is my family pony, Sugar Cube. We keep her at my Great-Aunt Norma's House. When we first got her, her older brother, Mumble, was there too. We had to babysit him for at least a week. On the first day, They both ran out the pasture gate. The good thing was that the backyard gate was closed, and thus they couldn't go out in the streets and be roadkill. We finally coralled the ponies back into the pasture. We still have her currently, but the Flakes (the family who gave us Sugar) took Mumble back to their pasture.

I like crocheting!
Today, I finished the pair of baby booties I made for my new cousin, Valor. I also decided to finish a scarf that hasn't been finished for months for my Aunt Sacha. I'm making a tissue paper box cover for my Uncle Binky. Oh, and by the way, those pictures on the right do not show my pieces of work. Those are someone Else's. I'd take pictures of my work, but the digital camera at our house is currently out of batteries.

What is this world coming to?!?!
In a week, my cousins Winter and Valor are coming. I've been preparing for when it happens and have decided to make a story book for Winter. I am making baby booties for Valor. I decided to see if there was a baby booty pattern in the crochet book I use called Crocheting for Dummies. Believe it or not, there wasn't a single pattern in there! It's crazy!!
The top five things that people crochet are:
- afghans
- sweaters
- scarfs
- baby booties
- hats
That's okay, though because I just made up a pattern. It's more like a sock, though.

Kids say the darndest things
My parents want me and my brothers to grow up as doctors.
my brothers and I have no objection to this, but Atticus wants to have a part time job as a comedian. He kept on saying Canadian, but today, he finally stopped. However, adults can have that kind of problem too. My dad used to pronounce chimney like this: chim-el-y.Monday, January 19, 2009
Z Z Z Z Z or- Is it any wonder I never get to sleep at 8:00 PM like everyone else?
See that clock on the right? That's only 2 hours later than the bedtime I've been having lately, and that includes this blog- don't worry- I'll still type down new posts for this blog. I do it for you viewers. I hope you enjoy it. Unfortunately, I haven't even found time to make my bed with my frantic schedules.
My eyes feel miserable and dry as I type.

It's HAPPENING!!!!!!!!
A few years ago, I promised my mom I would not become a teenager. Despite my best efforts, I think it's happening!
Top five ways
you know you're becoming a teenager
5. Your body automatically sulks whenever your mom asks you to do something. See picture
4. Cell phones look more appealing to you.
3. You constantly crave mexican and/or chinese food.
2. Despite speaking the same language, you and your mom have a failure to communicate. For example, you know how I typed about the 20Q toy on my previous post? Well, Atticus was trying to get the toy to guess itself. My mom was asking me "What is Atticus' question?" I said the "20 Questions machine". "No!" she said louder, " What is he trying to get it to guess?!" Raising my voice to her level, I said, "The 20 Questions machine!" Still raising her voice to the top of her lungs, she said, "No! What is he thinking about!" I said, "The 20 Questions machine!!!" That time, she finally got it.
1. Your mom starts asking you, "Did you take a shower?"

Once you think you've seen everything, think again!
I've seen many strange things, like on my vacation to Washington State, when, even though it was summer, it was cold enough to be hot cocoa season. But today, I have seen a debut in artficial intelligence! The 20 Questions game 2.0., the pocket game can guess just about anything but the number 2 and Barack Obama! It's so spooky that it even knows it.

Enough about me...
Sorry about that typo on the previous post. It looked like "me is Remington Benjamin Lee", didn't it? It was actually "My name is Remington Benjamin Lee", just that the "My na" part was to the left of the picture. Anyway, I haven't wrote about my brothers yet. Atticus, my 6-year-old brother, has very curly hair and is very sensitive. I typically get along with him, though.
Finnegan (my 3-year-old brother) is another story. He is very rude. He will ask us things at least 35 times and that's probably accurate. He beats us up a lot. He's threatened us so much, that I have been doing a straightjacket project (the project is in crochet and was going to be a sweater my size) and that's no joke! But he can be cute, sometimes.

The blog bang
My name is Remington Benjamin Lee. I am currently 11 years old. I have 2 brothers and no sisters. They are both younger than me. My first brother is 6 years old. My younger is 3. If you want to know the opinion of a kid my age with the know-how, you've come to the right place! For example, abortion: really wrong! Unreasonable taxes: wrong! Lowering driving age: Well, it should only be if they're smart! And that's a good thing for me! I have been waking up every day at about 6:45 A.M.- The bad thing about this is that I have to wait 3/4 an hour until my mom wakes up. It's a problem, a real problem. The reason of my advanced curriculum is that I'm home schooled. I play both the violin and the piano, but there are probably plenty of other kids out there that have that double-talent. Unlike the picture on the upper-right corner, I wear glasses. I just wanted to let you (yes, you the possible reader of this blog) know that so you won't get confused in later pictures.
